
























Andrew ‘Wes’ Westerside is a writer, dramaturge, director and core member of Proto-type Theater. He is currently undertaking doctoral research into the aesthetics of contemporary performance at Lancaster University [UK]. Most recently, Wes has performed with Proto-type Theater in WHISPER [2007-] [Supported by the Nuffield Theatre and Arts Council England], touring both the United Kingdom and United States. Other recent projects include a CCA Creative Labs Residency [as performer for Proto-type]. He has directed two performance works premiering in the UK: THE CALMER FUTURE? [2005] and AN INTERVIEW WITH DORIAN GRAY [2006].
As dramaturge, he has worked with ‘Muck and Bullets Theatre’, ‘Two Girls and a Boy’ and on COSMIC FAMILY [2005] with performance collective ‘The Solvents’. Wes teaches both theoretical and practical modules of LICAs BA Theatre Studies programme, and is currently in the process of writing SLIP [working title], a text for performance.
